From what I know, wet pail will contribute to more mold growth because its very damp, compared to dry pail. Bacteria, can and should be eliminated if you use hot wash, and also when exposed to sunlight! I think since we have adequate sunlight here, might not be necessary to wash hot? Also, you save on electricity to produce hot water. I’m not sure if hot water can effect lifespan of the CDs.

Correct me if I’m wrong.

I usually do the same thing as both of you (wet+dry pail method – i prewash CDs to remove stain and masukkan dalam dry pail but my some says that way we are developing bacteria!! Especially if we keep it in longer time. ANY COMMENT??)
On laundry day (usually after 2days) I would throw things in machine. Set machine using cotton cycle at 60degC and wash, spin and rinse as usual. That’s it!
IS IT NECESSARY TO WASH HOT?

Farhana, your way of washing applies to all kan? Fitted etc?? What about diaper cover??

i’m a working mom, so my routine is even simpler/lazier. my babysitter (my mom haha) washes the ones that is used at her hse and i wash the ones when she’s with me (6pm change, 10pm pre bed change and 6am change). so thats 3 pockets and 4 inserts( double at night). i do laundry everyday, but selang seli one day clothes and one day CD. if its peed CD then lepas change, remove insert, hook tabs and throw both in dry pail. if its poop then spray off poop in toilet, remove insert, hook tabs and throw in dry pail. on CD laundry day, hold breath, open pail, run to washing machine and throw everything in, and breathe normally. set on normal wash, with lunatots detergent secubit rasa. habis wash, hang on line to dry. *mode mak forever in a rush, what with work, masters, and two babies (hubby included)*
