I’m glad to mention that Moo Moo Kow (TM) diapers were one of the first brands of Pocket Diapers I have tried!
These Singaporean brand diapers are One-Sized Pocket Diapers, and I received the Snap Diapers in Sage colour for reviewing.
First Impressions:
- I really appreciate the neat packaging. It looks professional and provides all the necessary information (especially washing instructions!) for users. It’s important how such a simple thing can really make an good impression for a specific brand of Cloth Diapers.
- Upon removing from package, I was very happy with how the diapers looked! The workmanship looks great, and the bright white suedecloth inner looks very nice and comfy too.
- Even better, there were TWO different sizes of microfiber inserts along with the diapers – 1 Infant & 1 Toddler size.
Actually, I received the diapers very early on when my boy was still “little”, around 1 month old. Being an excited first time Cloth Diaper user, I can’t wait to use these Pocket Diapers (as I was only using prefolds and traditional lampins/flats). I prewashed the diapers 3 times and it was ready for use!

THE FITTING
In my opinion, for a very small newborn baby, the Snap closures made it a little difficult to get the right fitting. Also, there were so many snap buttons to adjust, I find it a little confusing to figure out which setting would be appropriate each time I want to put them on. I had issues with the front of the diapers bunching up like in the picture above… Abby recommended that I overlap the Snap closures to make them snugger, but somehow when I do so, I feel it is too tight around his tummy (maybe my boy has a large tummy). I don’t know if it’s related to the fitting, but the diapers leaked from the back too. I’m imagining the other design of Moo Moo Kow diapers with Aplix (velcro) closures might allow me better fit around the waist, and that it would be easier to put on too.
The fitting around the legs on the other hand, were very good! The leg elastics were gentle and fits well, good to prevent leaks at the legs. Despite the fitting problems around the waist, I did not experienced any leaks from the legs.

However, as my baby got bigger the sizing and fit got better! He’s nearly 7 kilos now (such a big boy!) and these diapers seem to work pretty well… I have yet to experience any leaks, not even from the back (my usage is 2-3 hours). Therefore, I can conclude that the fitting problem was because he was still a small newborn. I’m happy to report that they are used more frequently these days

“Hey Mummy, these diapers fit me better now that I’m bigger!”
What I Like:
- I love the 2 different sizes of inserts. When baby was smaller I can use the Infant insert, and if he grows bigger, I can use the Toddler insert. Or use both for extra absorbency! *Abby recommends monitoring baby’s wetting pattern to determine how best to utilize the inserts, and also to use both during night time!*
- The leg gussets work very well in containing leaks around the legs
- The suedecloth inner does not pill even after several washes (unlike microfleece which will pill after some amount of use)
- Good diaper workmanship & thumbs up for the nice packaging!
- Very very good customer support from Abby, the representative from Moo Moo Kow. My questions were handled promptly and informatively. Really appreciated that

What Can Be Improved:
- Oh man, it feels like there were so many snaps to adjust on these diapers!
- To figure out how to make fitting for smaller babies (especially newborns) better and easier.
- I’m guessing with the good quality, some cute printed designs could be a hit
(There are only plain colours available for now) - Might be nice to have a flap at the back pocket (or maybe a snap on insert system) to keep the insert inside. The microfiber insert sometimes juts out and it might be in contact with baby’s skin.
Thank you so much to the Moo Moo Kow (TM) team (especially Abby) for allowing me to review these Cloth Diapers!
